The Hinsdale History Museum The Hinsdale History Museum depicts the life of a middle class family living in Hinsdale between 1874 and 1900. Visitors are guided through seven authentically restored, period settings and small exhibit room. The museum is open to the public on Friday and Saturdays from 12:00 to 4:00 pm and by appointment. Tours for small groups are available upon request. The Museum Gift Shop The Hinsdale Historical Society maintains a small gift shop in the museum which offers books, notecards and prints relating to Hinsdale history. For more information about items available for purchase, please email us at HistoryMuseum@HinsdaleHistory.org Volunteer Opportunities We are currently looking for: -volunteers to serve as docents to lead tours of the museum. -collections volunteers who help staff with the documentation, storage, record keeping and exhibition of the museum's extensive artifact collection which includes fine art, decorative arts, furniture, historic clothing and textiles. -volunteers to help with a variety of administrative items.
